How to Create a Post and Add Content

For those of you who have AI Artwork to add to this site, below is a helpful tutorial on how to create a post as well as several options for adding content blocks.

IMPORTANT: We have limited the file size of any uploaded images to 4 MB and the total post size to 8 MB.

Viewing on the web does not require large image sizes. We suggest you save your images in jpeg format and use a maximum resolution of 1000px at 72 PPI (Pixels per inch). The larger your file, the slower it will load on the main page as well as your portfolio page. If you need help with this, please use the contact form below.

Creating your post

Once you are logged in you will see the Wordpress Dashboard on the left. Choose
A new screen will appear where you can start adding your information. First add a Title. This MUST be your name.
On the right of your screen you will see 3 categories. Please choose one by checking the box. These may be changed later by the admin.
Add your featured image. Right under the category box you will see a link to upload your featured image. Click the link and choose the “Upload files” tab at the top left of the box. choose the file from your computer. This can be added later, but your post will not display an image until you add it.
At this point you can publish your post by clicking the blue “Publish” button in the upper right of your screen.

Adding content

Now that you have saved your draft, it’s time to add content. You can do this now or come back and do it later.

There are 2 methods for adding content: using the Wordpress standard interface or using the Themify modules. Both work, but you will have more options and creative flexibility with the Themify modules. Here is an instructional video on how to use both.

The Themify content builder allows you to add modules for text, images, videos, galleries and more. It allows for better formatting of your content.
To start, click the “Themify Builder” button right below the title box.

Once you click this button, your portfolio page will open up in the Themify front end editor. This allows you to see the page in real time as edits and content are added.
In the middle you will see a module box that highlights with a green circle when you roll over it. It looks like this:

This is where you can drag content modules. You can also click the green button and select the module you want.

On the left side you should see a side panel with a bunch of icons. Simply choose the one you want (text, video, gallery, image, etc) and drag it over the content area above.

Once a module is dragged over, a box will pop up on the left where you can add your content. We highly recommend you watch the video below for instructions on how to add content.

When you have added your content and wish to save your work, simply click on the orange “Save” button in the upper right hand of the browser.
