Makeitrad - Brad Tucker
Assorted pieces from 2024/2025 that blur boundaries between the familiar and the unknown, always playing with the tension between permanence and transformation. At the crossroads of art and technology, each series captures moments of curiosity, vibrance, and a touch of the unexpected.
Sculptures
This series presents forms that melt and reform—shifting between organic and geometric in an easy dance across a simple grey studio backdrop. Created with StyleGAN and a custom dataset, these sculptures embody a balance between the frozen and the fleeting; each frame is a brief moment in a continuous, living evolution.
Fruits
Here, living and non-living elements are fused together, drawing inspiration from the farthest reaches of both our world and imagined galaxies. Each piece in this series is like a visual adventure, merging the familiar with the mysterious, where alien terrains and natural structures come together in unexpected harmony. AnimateDiff and Sparse Control help bring these otherworldly scenes to life, sparking curiosity and wonder.
Fruits Evolved
Building on the original Fruits, this evolution turns things up a notch. Fruits shift, spin, and shimmer with bioluminescent veins and crystalline husks, blurring the lines between earthly and extraterrestrial. Created with AnimateDiff and IPadapter Weights, the motion is both wild and harmonious, transforming each fruit into both a relic of evolution and a portal to something unknown.
Evolved Echoes
This looping animated collection explores ideas of evolution, constant change, and the passage of time. Using AnimateDiff, Steerable Motion, and IPadapter Weights, each seamless loop draws viewers into a journey of visual echoes—a universe that’s in constant motion, never truly at rest.
Structures
Structures delves into architecture, nostalgia, and shifting perspectives over time. Originally starting as static generative art, this series has grown warmer and more dynamic through AnimateDiff and Stable Diffusion. The result is an animated reflection on time, memory, and the enduring spirit of built spaces.
