Artwork explores how a logical pattern, a pattern that is generated by deterministic rules of a cellular automaton can be manipulated and repeated by generative AI. While the cellular automaton creates a deterministic pattern, it weaves a mechanical aesthetic. The manipulation of this mechanical environment with generative AI, such as context-aware generative extensions or variations, introduces a contrasting aesthetic, while keeping the cell structure. By regenerating and/or expanding parts of the mechanical pattern, the artist weaves an organic-like aesthetic where randomness is embraced and biological looking patterns start to dominate.
