MMNN (Multi-Modal Neural Network) art 2022-2023
47,000 x 26,000 pixels.
This artwork represents a world-first in the realm of Multi-Modal Neural Network (MMNN) art, a field I pioneered at the intersection of artificial intelligence and visual creativity. As of late 2022 and early 2023, it showcases cutting-edge techniques in text-to-image prompt engineering, generating bespoke images on a monumental scale. Achieving resolutions up to 1 billion pixels, these works are ideally suited for mural-sized installations. Printable in sizes as large as 26 feet by 14 feet (approximately 7.9 meters by 4.3 meters) at a detailed photographic resolution of 150 pixels per inch (about 59 pixels per centimeter), these images offer an unparalleled visual experience, viewable with clarity from just inches away. This groundbreaking endeavor merges technical innovation with artistic exploration, pushing the boundaries of how art is conceived and viewed.
As a artist, my journey with AI as a medium began in 2016, and by 2018, I was deeply involved in training Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs). Today, my clients engage me to create not only conceptual art but also to develop AI diffusion models. For this, I employ vision-enabled transformers and Large Language Models (LLMs) for prompt engineering. My process utilizes the richness of free and open-source code, incorporating finetuned LoRA (Low-Rank Adaptation), ControlNet for nuanced guidance, IPadapters, and outpainting techniques for larger-than-life canvases. The artistry involves extensive coding, meticulous dataset curation, and a significant investment of time in perfecting upscale workflows.
My work has found its place in prestigious museums and on luxury items, evidencing its broad appeal and cultural significance. The models I develop are designed to not only capture the imagination of viewers but also to serve as a beacon of inspiration for future designers. Beyond the digital realm, I have a passion for bringing these creations into the physical world, printing them on canvas and personally crafting them into stretched canvases — a harmonious blend of modern technique and traditional presentation.
